*This is a Work Experience (work-based learning) position available through Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend. All candidates will be considered after program eligibility is determined.
Will perform a variety of duties at the entry-and-moderately-skilled level to maintain and repair facility, grounds and fixtures.
Assignments may include light janitorial and keeping the grounds clean, touch-up painting and patching, simple plumbing maintenance, electrical, as well as other related tasks as may be directed and outside utilizations of licensed or certified professionals are not required.
May perform routine maintenance & repair work and may assist contractors in the repair and reconfiguring of buildings and building components.
Skills and knowledge in the proper operation and maintenance of hand and light power tools commonly used in building maintenance are required and may be further trained after placement.
Candidate must possess the physical and mental capacity to work effectively under fast-changing conditions.
