*This is a Work Experience (work-based training) position available through Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend. All candidates will be considered after program eligibility is determined.

Medical Biller/Data Entry Clerk

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Ability to create and organize new patient demographics into databases.

Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy

Good typing skills and 10 key proficient

Communication skills with customer service and on phones

Proficient literacy and numeracy skills

Internet and Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word documents

Adding and subtracting is a must.

Trainees will eventually learn how to code services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments properly.

Trainees will also learn how to prepare and send invoices or claims for payment.

Recent graduates in Medical Billing/Coding preferred
